November’s Theme “Twilight”

Assignment “Four Corners”

(Fill your Frame - Get in Close)

  • Topic: Image themes and Assignments to be previewed with an open discussion on how they were captured. Please have your specs ready for questions on how you shot them, the equipment you used, etc.

If we have time we can open them in Photo Shop and test some editing techniques that can enhance an image.

  • Glen Arden Exhibit – As per a request by Glen Arden’s staff, we will be hanging the “Winter” theme show at the center in December. For the month of December 1st to January 30th.  We need at least 20 framed images, 16 x 20, 11x14, 8x10. Bring them to our November meeting next week if you like. (well wrapped with your name on it) Hanging is the first week of December (Day and time to be announced).

  • Assignment: “Four Corners”. A proposal was presented at our August meeting to create a monthly assignment to help make our photos from field trips, workshops and themes more instructional. The idea is to have a brief workshop the month before on what you may need to know to capture a great photograph. Ex: suggested F- stops to use, lens, filter, WB, etc., and we can recommend locations. Your obligation is to share the assignment photo for an open discussion. See more on how this could be done on our FB page.  Send your photos to - via  Be prepared for an open discussion at the meeting

  • Field Trips – For November to be announced. Hunting season has begun, so be careful where you go.

(Always check the FB page for updates). If you have photos from anyone of the field trips, please post      them to our FB page or send them to me.

  • Prepare your image selections for our December Holiday Party and Print Contest

Categories are:  Landscapes – Black & White – Creative -  Prints only – no frames – no visible name on images. You can submit one image to all three categories.  See attached guidelines from Jay Beaumont.

We will also need 5 images of your choice for our December slideshow, that runs during the party.

A refreshments list for December’s party needs to be finalized. See Gail Conklin at this meeting
