Exhibiting Guidelines
Open to all Members in Good Standing
All submitted images will be Juried for Juried Shows only
Juried shows can travel to other shows without being juried again

Selections will be based on technical quality, expression of theme, proper exposure, clarity and finished print.

Please Note: All photos accepted by the judges are final - after the judging, no additional photos can be submitted. Submitted prints cannot be reprinted unless otherwise noted by the judge or exhibit committee. Three photos per member.

Participation Details are as follows for all Juried Shows:

All active members in good standing:

Memberships dues must be up to date.

Need to have attended at least 3 meetings in order to participate in all exhibits. ​
Three images per person

Images submitted to be juried should have been taken with in the last year and should reflect the theme, if one has been chosen.

Do not submit Previously exhibited images

For juried work, once accepted, all work needs to be framed, wired and ready to hang No sawtooth hooks.

Price and contact information should be printed, not hand written, on the back of each piece.​​
Framing guidelines:

Black frame, white mat, required for uniformity

Print sizes recommended: 8 x 10, 11x 14, 16 x 20, 24 x 30.

In a large venue, the larger the work the better. (suggest you put an 8 x 10 image in an 11x14 inch frame).

Suggestion for Prices - Do your best to include the total cost of your frame, mat, hardware, printing and time spent framing it.
NOTE: Many Galleries charge a hanging fee and require you pay a percentage of your sale to them. So include these fees in your sale price.

Most venues, galleries and local cafés, are priced in the mid-range between $50.00 & $300. Some galleries may suggest you charge more. Location of the venue and size of your image makes a difference.

Personal Biographies: We will need your biography for the club's biography book that will be on display at the exhibit for guests to preview.

Pick up and drop off will be announced - prior to hanging. Same for take down.

Receptions: to be announced. (Fees for refreshments will be collected from exhibitors).

Ads and media announcements in local papers will be posted for the duration of the exhibit. A flyer will be created for each show.

SJCC Brochures will be available.
